Why or whare did the slider go in the adjustments to excelerate the Mouse. Spade has it on ME Wolf and I lost it on XP. Now the mouse doesn't move as fast in a shorter distance. Do you now of  a fix?

I believe the fix, according to un-name sources for Microsoft, is to buy a new one.

This is a new one. Wolf was running ME and had it He Went to xp pro and lost the adjustment on his. It,s an o/s issue.There has to be a reg key to turn it on. The settings program even looks diferant on xp than ME. Even used Spade's drivers that came with his. So it's not a driver issue.Opie I was counting on you:cry:

Hey!  If it wasn't for M$, you Unix propellor-heads  would be arguing about the flavors of *nix instead!

Oh wait, you do that already!

Oh well, at least M$ provides you with a scapegoat for poor security. ;)

FYI... this is a disclaimer.... that webpage has a lot of comments.. i would read them.. not to mention this file is a registry file.. so if it screws your pc up.. it's not my fault..    so backup your registry file..

hey BOOM!  let me know how it works for you...

Wolf you are on to something here. If I can get SPADE TO GO HERE...[HKEY_CURRENT_USERControl PanelMouse]...And post his settings. I think we need a new dword that he has to get the slider back. Or we should be able to copy and paste after backing up. Thanks wolfy

Here you go
[HKEY_CURRENT_USERControl PanelMouse]
"SmoothMouseXCurve"=hex:00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,a0,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,40,
01,00,00,00,00,00,00,80,02,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,05,00,00,00,00,00
"SmoothMouseYCurve"=hex:00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,66,a6,02,00,00,00,00,00,cd,4c,
05,00,00,00,00,00,a0,99,0a,00,00,00,00,00,38,33,15,00,00,00,00,00

This will put your intillimouse 3.0a at the same speed as your razor. The only thing is there is no slider for fine adjustment like in ME or 98. Thanks Wolfy good find.
If you try this BACKUP YOUR REG FILE

I just figured that all the times I have come up with the links, they would probably be able to find it.  Well, that and the fact that  have been too busy to find the links.

Big thanks to Spade for looking up his reg settings for me. Should be fixed with the next updated solfware. MS knows about the problem.They didn't have a fix. Thanks wolfy for finding the one and only place on the web.

I feel so proud, my little techies are grown up, and are looking up links on their won now! :cry:

BTW, on a semi-related note, if you are looking for a great price on Cat5e cable, here is what I found last night...

Lowes: 500ft Non-Plenum Cat5e --> $80-$85
Home Depot: 1000ft Non-Plenum Cat5e --> $62 ( including tax! )

Plenum at HD is the same price as non-plenum at Lowes.  Cat5e is rated to 1GHz!  This is the same stuff I, sorry, WE wired the house with!

I just got a logitech MX 500. 800 dpi. I like it, it is alot closer to my Razer than the Intellimouse. BUT! the 1-5 buttons don't work in the games. Went to their web a got the 5 page work around. and still won't work. put in the older drivers the buttons work but with a 2-3 second delay. WOW!
Anyone have a work around that works?:eek:

I,ll Try it one more time. It,s a very good mouse but the software sucks

Logitech has a work around I got it to work with the newest drivers. You have to shut the program down. When they get this fix it will be a very good 8 button mouse

I can't get the new xp razor drivers to work any thoughts on the right wayto do it? I can't get it to run in the back ground so the buttons work.

Did a fresh install with ghost. installed the new drivers you must reboot. If you already have the old drivers  uninstall first then reboot then install the new drivers and reboot.

Freaking programmers!  If you are running Win2K, you aren't supposed to have to reboot when loading or updating drivers.  This means that the coders took the easy way out.:swear:
