Hello, I know I am new to your forums and all, but I wanted to mention that PDXLAN in Portland, OR is holding a huge 1,000 person LAN and Tournament Championship this August 11-14. PDXLAN has had 4 events of 500+ people and also hosted the GeForce LAN party where the 6800 was launched last April.

Tournaments include:
5 v 5 CounterStrike Source
8 v 8 Battlefield 2
3 v 3 UT2k4 CTF
1 v 1 UT2k4 Deathmatch
1 v 1 Warcraft 3 Frozen Throne
1 v 1 (RTS TBA)

Tournaments are sponsored by Nvidia and Intel, so the prizes will be awesome. For example, CS:S 5v5 1st place is a Pentium 4 Extreme Edition Processor and Motherboard!

PDXLAN also has tons of fun contests for the 4 days like Eating contests, case mod contest, custom case contest, hard drive shuffleboard contests, etc.

There will be a technology expo portion to the event where sponsors will have the lastest and greatest products on display. With NVIDIA and INTEL both being there, you won't want to miss this!

If you want to come, they are offering UNLIMITED soda to all who prepay, raffle tickets to all who pre pay, and 4 days of lanning for 50.00 - 100,000.00 in prizes divided by 1000 people = 100.00 each as the average in prizes! Most of the prizes are given in raffles so that everyone can win, not just the good gamers. If you are a good gamer, try your luck at the West Coast Championships at PDXLAN - see how you rank among 1,000 gamers! This is a BYOC event, even bring your XBOX if you like!
