I read about this a couple of weeks ago in a CGW Magazine.

here are two articles about it.
as for betaing 2007 I was signed up through a friend and I am not sure if they will even acept me. he says it on a refferal program. Beta is still a few months away. I am not even sure if there will be a beta team all I know is that I am sign up. I am number 12589234

As far as I know yes. And as far as I have heard DX10 will be able to run on XP. they have completely rewritten DX10 from the ground up but they have given it legacy support. and the last thing i heard is that they are making it work on XP. the won't be as many thing supported but it should run fine.
