Well My Beloved ATI 9800 Pro Died yesterday!!!

I think it got too hot! The fan swich got bumped to low...

SO, I have made my choice for a replacement.....

The GeForce 6600 GT OC by BFG

This would be a monumental switch for me since The last time I had a Nvidiot card was back in 97ish...

But, the price to proformance value of this card is as good as I could find in the $200 - $300 price range....

here is the link to the one I got...

Here is a a revew on it...

Hmm, I had to spend 40 minutes on hold to find out, but this is an AGP 2.0 (1.5V) device, so I can get it IF I get the money together.

Book: Very specific. It is, however, somewhat fuzzy around the area of kneecaps.

For the price, it's good.  But those ATI cards did beat it a lot.

Yeah, but you have to look at the price range not the card.

If you dont compare cards by there price first then specs, It is like comparing apples and oranges

No, you need to compare both price AND speed.  That way you find the best value.  Price isn't everything.

no what I am saying is that you need to compare Cards at the same price range

Like when I was looking for a card I wanted to spend around $200 So I dident even look at the X800. I compared the 9800 vs the 6600 GT OC vs 6800

And in that price range the 6600GT OC is the best .....

I look for the most bang for my buck.

And in this case the 6600GT OC has the most bang for under $350
