What smells worse that ZW with a bowl of gut buster?  What smells worse than Wolvy's feet?  What smells worse that Opie with Ice Cream and beer? ................

A processor on fire!!!

Wish I had a picture of it when it burned in my case........wonder if I can get a warranty exchange?

Oww. Hope you can get an exchange. They may try to claim you were overclocking the chip and use the now burned chip as proof (although a faulty chip would do the same thing  .

I just hope it was from newegg.com.

this is what you weren't going to tell me over lunch?  We could have cried in our salsa for your loss!

I am thinking you need to get rid of that albatross of a system, and get something new.  This one has had WAAAAY to many issues.

There is nothing like the smell of electronics spontaniously combusting.
Be it a Processor or a L.E.D. or heck a NIC even. which all seem to have this talent of going up in smoke.
and then there are the people you are living with..."Whats that smell!!!"
really what are you supose to respond with?

But Boom, you can buy two or three AMD chips for the same cost as one Intel and have them out last the Intel for the same price.  Why would I ever pay for the Intel branding?

And for your information I have seen lots of Intel chip go poof get tuned for maximum smoke.

They were all i486 chips, but still.  I also saw a guy get a 3rd degree burn for grabbing one right away. moron.

Well, I dunno about fun. I liked toating an old Cyrix chip, but it was old, and a cyrix chip is a usless chip anyways. So it was FUN to toast to a black stinky moltant mess of semi conductive mass:D:lol.

If you would just get out of the way when I am attacking, I wouldn't be forced to shoot through you!

I need to say, Zeet holds the record for the best "shoot through".

He aims at me with his sniper rifle...
Boom steps in front of him as he pulls the trigger...
The bullet passes through his head, and into mine!

Zeet's score for that...
-1 for a TK (Boom) and +1 for killing me = 0
:lol

In Zeet's defense, he was already scoped in on my head, Boom just added his at the last second.
