First of all id like to say thanx for the help in finding linux. i am running Red Hat 9 and i LOVE IT. Who else here is running linux?
do regular games like UT and CS run on linux?
i do dual boot with 98 b/c of the limited software for linux.
does any one know of a good mp3 player for linux? thie one that came with it wont play my mp3 b/c of copyrite reasons, but u can rip your own cds and play them, thats messed up. I got a sound card with F/R outs but only the front works, it did that with 98 except in music match juke box. 8/

o and any one know any good linux software sites

I am running Linux, although I still have a lot of work to do on my box.  I do not have as much time at home as I would like.  

Yes UT and CS run on Linux.  The UT port is on disk for UT and UT2K3.  Try here for UT and try the UT2K3 home site for docs.  Fot CS try here it should get you started lookin in the right place.  There is/was a devoted Half Life on Linux site I just can not find it right now, try Google.

As for Linux software.

That should keep you gonig for a while.  Also get to know Google and their user groups.

no more linux
it erased it own master boot record for some odd assed reason and destroyed the hdd,then the one i put in its place just died

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

i need a new compy and my stupid parents wont let me buy one!!!!!!!
