Found out today that Netscape released a new version lately 7.01.  So being a MS hater I gave it a shot.  It is the best browser that I have seen so far. The most important feature is that it suppresses pop up ads and is configurable for any ads that you want to allow.  Also it has the ability to open tabs for having several sites up at once.  No more opening a seperate instance for each web page.  Make sure that you get 7.01 though.  I have 7.0 on my Solaris machine and it does not have the ad suppresson.  GIve it a shot and you will love it.

the  opera browser was the first to do all that (but i dont know about the ad popup stoper but then all you need is one of the free Ad-stopers)

I have a freeware Pop Up stopper. It works too!.. Not trying to take away from Yoda_mon....wait....

Yes, but performance will suffer if you have to use WINE.  But then you could always just whine!  Not your style, but still. ;)
