So the new WarHammer Online comes out 9/18/08. Anybody but me getting it? I plan to play a dwarf so I can have the ROFLCopter for a mount. Probably an engineer.
Who wouldn't love to smack down others with a giant wrench, drop explosive barrels on peoples heads, or setup gun turrets?

Just think of all the loverly beatings you could apply in this game.
Just found this interesting series of reviews on WarHammer on ArsTechnica.

I might be interested, but I really won't be playing much till November.

You get a place of employment first. That is the priority for you bub.
-
Of course it is, I'm planning on buying about 500 dvds to burn my demo reel and start sending it out to any and every company that I can find.

I've heard that the new WarHammer kinda sucks. In fact it sucked so much that I was given an account and didn't ask for it.

OK, now YOU suck. From what I have seen and read, this will be a great game. Apparently instead of having instances that you have to gather large numbers of players together and everyone starts it together and you have to be there the whole time, yadda yadda yadda, they use public quests which start periodically and you can join and leva as you wish/need. You participation helps complete the quest and participants get rewards based on the degree of participation.
No more worrying about some sorry loot ninja stealing the good stuff or that you are going to lose the roll for the epic pair of shoulders that only drops in the 40 man instance that no one likes to run. Not only that, if you go into the area for the quest and spend all your time healing the players, you get credit for participating. Provide support in some other way? You get credit for participating.
Sounds like a lot easier way to get people to do the big stuff.

Installed and playing it. I have a level 4 Greenskin Squig Herder named Grignak on the Drakwald server.
Been fun and I have to say, it's very well done. I participated in a public quest last night and ended up getting enough rep for elite gear. Very well done game so far.
