Security / Microsoft quietly adds .NET to Fire Fox« on: August 18, 2009, 04:37:42 AM »
Apparently Micro$oft decided to quietly add the .NET framework to Fire Fox in a windows security update. They made it an add-on but with no way to uninstall it through the add-on menu. You in fact have to manually delete it from the registry and delete the sub folder it resides in.
Found the article at: http://voices.washingtonpost.com/securityfix/2009/05/microsoft_update_quietly_insta.html Removal can be found here: http://blogs.msdn.com/brada/archive/2009/02/27/uninstalling-the-clickonce-support-for-firefox.aspx 28
Battlefield Series / BattleField: Heros« on: July 22, 2009, 02:42:08 PM »
Ok, so since Snauz fail to post I will. Snauz and I have heard about this a while back but hadn't heard much, except for it being a possible release.
Now it's out and Snauz and I have been Playing for a couple of weeks. This game is a blast. It is a cartoon third person shooter. It is supposed to be a WW2 mock shooter. Completely free to play. With the option to pay for cool new uniforms and outfits, but you can't pay to get better at the game. Worth every free penny. http://www.battlefield-heroes.com/ It launches from you browser and all account logins are handled by the website, the game itself is its own client. 29
DD-WRT has been around for many years now but, i have never had a router i could install it on until now. I convinced my roomate to allow me to install DD-WRT on to his Linksys WRT54GS v3. Once installed I was blown away by what I could now do with my router.
DD-WRT is a linux based firmware for over 200 devices that basically turns your router in to a enterprise equivalent router. It does it all, um well maybe not all but so darn close it should be all. It has both a web based interface and a command line interface accessed either by telnet or ssh. there is so much it can do think at this point I will refer you to the website for more detail. http://www.dd-wrt.com/ It truly is Bad ass. ** removed all that blank space you had in there. - ZW ** 30

Stumble Upon is so awesome. I found this little morsel of software that may be useful.
You don't ever have to alt+tab out of a game. I wonder how well it works and How much of your resources it robs... I guess I'll find out. http://www.playxpert.com/web/guest/home edit*** Quote Required system specs:Looks like a whore.... 32
Whatever / The Omaha Twister Chasers« on: March 27, 2009, 04:09:56 PM »
As of today DannyC, Snauz and myself are officially affiliates with TornadoVideos.net. We're known as Omaha Twister Chasers. I finished the final paper work with them today and will start setting up the tracking software on Mine and Dan's Computers. So anytime we're out chasing you can go to http://www.tornadovideos.net and watch a live feed of our chase.
There is also a revenue path through them as well. So things are looking up. I'm now looking for sponsorships to help us get some more equipment. Domination! 35
