I was poking around on the ASUS support site and found this very handy tool
Recommended Power Supply Wattage Calculator (http://support.asus.com/PowerSupplyCalculator/PSCalculator.aspx?SLanguage=en-us)
Using my workstation, not the laptop of course, it said I should have 950W. That seems pretty accurate since I had to put an 1100W in there when I built it.
