Post by: CaptionVic on April 06, 2005, 10:51:53 PM
Frist, my puter did not boot up it stoped at one of the frist black screen where it says 'boot record OK'. I thought i had lost a the hard drive so i unpluged it and pluged in the backup HD and got the same thing. being at this piont i tryed to reload XP, but it does not take. After messing with the WD Data Life Tools i did tell me there is a "Fatal Error, there was a error reading drive 1 absolute sector 0 count 1"  I don't have the driver disk that goes with the Motherboard and i am not sure what kind it is. So, how do i check my BIOS, and what do i need to know to reload it?

Check on the motherboard and find out who made it.  Usually they have somekind of help and a downloadable bios to fix that.
