Very interesting. Let's hope it's at least a bit more stable.

Vista is stable now. More so than XP. The main problem is NV drives keep crashing both Vista and XP. My next V card will not be a NV card they just can't write good drivers. Yes MS could do better and open up the code so they could do better.

I dont have vista but my NV dirver run fine in XP
Im thinking about making the switch mainly for DX10

Hmm, my new laptop runs Vista, and it locks up tight a minimum of once a week. It does have a nV card, but it's still Vista locking up with all the updates in place.
As fas as XP locking up with nV cards... not happening to me. My gaming machine has not one but TWO nV cards and it runs solid as a rock. Can't think of the last time it locked up on me.

Wait for Windows7 with DX11
The difference is not that much for 9 to 10
The NV driver issue could be my motherboard chip set.
Andy I bet your loptop has an nv vedio card.

Windows 7 is still at least 18 months out according to my last Partner Briefing.
And, yes, it does have a nV card in it.
