Ya know, I always felt a little guilty because I will walk into a place and try to figure out how to circumvent the security in the place. I long ago proved to someone that I could actually walk across a room that was monitored but a motion sensor without it going off. I always look at code and wonder, "How can I break this?" Those RFID towers by the doors at stores? I am forever wondering if I could get products out without setting them off.
Come to find out I am not all that weird and twisted after all. Bruce Schneier, CTO of BT Counterpane, has posted a blog on Wired about the security mindset and how security people think differently from the average person.
