Slowly but surely I will get be back.  For some they may think that Spade has been asleep...for others they think Spade will need to practise allot to caught up.  Just remember that you are only as good as those that you hang out with and I may bring a surprise to the table since I last left...:compute:  Sometimes going back to the basics is the best thing a guy can do to sharpen up and get rid of bad habits...You know what I mean WOLFY....remember some of those habits you had....are they back?  Can't wait to find out!:P

I will ignore the much needed SMACK and let you know I just finished going through all the maps in Call of Duty.  To answer your questions, it is similar to MOHAA but the graphics and game play are tons better.  The interaction with the game is very real...ie...coverfire from your team mates will draw the enemy fire to allow you to flank for example.  Also if you start to overrun an area, the bots will fall back and regroup for your next attack just like in real life.  The bots react and respond much better then any game I have played.  There are no bots in multiplayer as you predicted but if everybody had the game, there would be enough to make a good multiplayer game.   I would agree with Wolfy about missing you guys but the comment about not playing just because of internet connection is a bit much....I think he just misses someone to put him in his place on a regular basis and keep him sharp and working harder at his skills.  Again, I am not saying this is the game of all games but for me, it is right up there with unreal in enjoyment.  I plan to start all over and go through the entire game again now that I finished.  BTW, I should have internet this week and will try gaming to see if it is possible.

Personally, I picked up the game 3 days ago and have been loving it.  I have only been playing single player at this point but I think it blows MOH away.  The graphics are the best I have seen and it is very real to life.  I dont know what the demo provided but the full blown game is well worth the money.  As you all know, I am not a single player guy at all!  It is rare that I will sit down and play a game in single player.  This game has my full attention and caint wait to get back to it.  Three nights of playing so far and enjoying every minute.  Hope to try multiplayer soon but I guess I will have to make a trip or plan a party.  I did notice that multiplayer does not have bots.....bummer!

After much review and investigation, I have completed what one might say is my last upgrade for a while.  I think I am at the point of being able to last for quite a while now.  I continued on with AMD and have a true 333 mhz through-put, no bottlenecks.   Here are the components and I am very pleased with the outcome and performance.

Windows XP Professional with SP-1

Asus A7N8X Deluxe motherboard – Features AGP-Pro 8x, Dual 3Com Lan, and 128-bit TwinBank DDR Memory architecture doubles the DDR 400 (PC3200) bandwidth. System bottlenecks are eliminated with balanced architecture and peak bandwidth up to 6.4GB/s.

Corsair TwinX Dual Channel Memory Kit with Low Latency (Two paired 256 MB PC2700 @ 2-2-2-5-T1)
The TWINXTM memory kits are composed of two low latency memory modules that have been tested as a pair in an Asus A7N8X dual channel motherboard. The matched pair of modules are then physically packaged together, guaranteeing that the customer receives a product that has been verified in the dual channel environment. These memory kits are available in sizes of both 512 MByte (two 256 MByte modules) and 1 GByte (two 512 MByte modules), at speeds of either 333 MHz (also known as PC2700) or 400 MHz (also known as PC3200).

Keep it in your traveling inventory so when you come to our gaming event in April, you can sit 25 feet away and still play.:rolling Actually, we will have our switches at each table so it should not be an issue.  Hang onto it though, it may come in handy in the future.

You might want to point out which link and tweak you did so no one else does it.  I did nearly all the tweaks I sent out with no problems.  My bootup is very fast.  The line dont even make it accross the first time and I go to desktop, unlike before the tweaks, it would go accross the screen about 5 or 6 times.  When I have the time, I will publish all the tweaks that I did for those that like to have someone else do them first. :rolling

Every one did do a good job and it was fun to have some good competition!  My frustration was mainly in the bots, they would wear me down while I was trying to get to the real adventure! :D Opie and Morph!  Tonight should prove to be a great time as we prepare for Saturday.  Be there or be.............Scared!:lol

Flying is certainly the most fun for me, It can however be very frustrating when you have several enemy planes in the air as well as bots on the ground all trying to take you down.  You end up trying to stay alive and cant focus on getting your target.  I also enjoy the tanks.  If you pair up with someone, drive a tank and have an engineer follow you on foot.  His job is to keep fixing you as well as toss hand gernades out in front off you to take down the guys.  It is most effective.  BTW, when flying you can toggle between veiws with F9, F10, and F11.  F10 for general flying and bombing.  F9 for air to air.  F11 for ZW.:lol

Size and Heat seems to be an issue when concidering this card.  It does do well when you run all the options and really load the card up with all the graphical features.  Makes you wonder how much is going to change with driver enhancements coming out?

Slider the Blue Combo Man!  Good to hear from you.  We do have a server that the Ambush guys use but it is not advertised per say as to keep it availible for those nights when you want to work on your skills with each other, like the blue combo.  Seems you have inspired many of us to work on that skill as of late.  Zwarrior would be the one to speak with about access.  Good to hear from you and look forward to our next event where we can run and gun again.

I would have to agree that you need to know all the factors to decide.  Sometimes we don't have all the specs we need like timings and such to know the pros and cons.  It is nice when someone like Tom does the testing for us and can identify the best combo or application since he has all the resources to do such tests.
