HELP!!!
« on: July 26, 2007, 09:16:33 AM »
For a few weeks now i have had some malware on my system that i can get rid of.....here is the problems im having

-Firefox prosses is always running (Except at boot up just after i use it the first time) and will restart it self when i stop the prosse

-Random popups In IE to sites i dont think are good for computer (have picked up a number of bad active X coponents and  IE is only used when these popus come up, Also the popups never come untill after i use fire fox)

-I scan my system every day now and ussaly find 3-4 trojans on my system along with a variaty of  other stuff.

What i have done so far:
-AVg all the time
-run spyware doctor
-Run adaware
-Run CCleaner
- Let the programs remove the Virus's, Active X, and other files it picks up
- I have mannualy remvoed the files it come up with

I plan next to deinstall firefox  Run the cleaning programs and install a fresh copy on my system

any other suggestions that dont involve a full system restore cause im trying to be lazy here :P

Zoë: Shepard, isn't the Bible kind of specific about killing?
Book: Very specific. It is, however, somewhat fuzzy around the area of kneecaps.
